On December 1st, a consortium of European conservation biologists, including conservation geneticists from the CRC, launched a new web portal designed to assist biodiversity policy makers and resource managers in incorporating genetic considerations when designing conservation plans.
Flemish government signs a new five-year funding agreement with the CRC
Last week, Flemish Minister for Science, Innovation and Technology, Ingrid Lieten signed a new agreement between the Flemish government and the Royal Zoological Society of Antwerp, covering five years of core funding for scientific zoo-based research. With this agreement, the government enables the CRC to continue its scientific work and to develop new innovative research collaborations with Flemish and international scientific institutions and zoological gardens.

Welcome to the Centre for Research and Conservation (CRC), the research department of the Royal Zoological Society of Antwerp. The CRC stands for high quality scientific research aimed at supporting the day-to-day work in our parks and international captive breeding programs, to ensure the welfare of our animals, and to contribute to scientific zoological knowledge and the protection of wild animals and their natural environment.
